This is my logo that is part of my online portfolio. It is made from many layers and type effects.

Logo

I liked this logo because it was very simple but showed what the person did in an effective manner.

I already have a logo but this would be an idea for if the person was involved in computers. Since I ran out of time its not very good.

Phone cover

This cover was done using rendering blending layers and filters to give an other worldly effect. Also brush effects to create the absorbing blur.

Yearbook Cover

I made this cover to simulate the movie marquee and and specific movie posters like Chicago and Burlesque. The font effect is made from layer effects and blur tools as well as a stock photo of a light bulb. The stamp is a square font a stock photo of a construction site and brush styles.

Photo Manipulation

 This one is done with the find edges filter and blending options for the layers.

 This one is done using blur tools and glowing edges as well as contrast and blending options for the layers.

This one uses mosaic tiles difference clouds ans blending tools for layers. It is also inverted and the contrast played with.

Rule of thirds picture

This picture combines the words Expression and Boundless to create art that shows both. The universe in the eye shows how my feeling toward expression needs to become boundless. The rule of thirds comes into play in the eye. The eye was positioned to have the pupil and the word boundless be what people look at first then their eyes can pick up the greater picture and the word expression. So they now see Boundless Expression through my eyes.

Three words pictures

 For my word relations I did a symmetrical design. The people represent me my friends and family. Since most of my relationships have something to do with technology I used the computers to show the way I communicate and create new relations.

This picture represents my need to unbind my life and i used the radial design to show that there are endless possibilities. I created the text effect from scratch to give it a fantasy and spacey feeling. Why space well what is more boundless then the universe?

The final design uses the word Expression to create an asymmetrical design. The shape is an artists paint pallet and is made entirely out of the word expression and the letters that encompass it. Each color of paint contains a different letter to show that expression is formed from everything you have. For the background I used the colors from the pallet to make paint like explosions.

Yearbook cover critique

This yearbook cover is my favorite because of it's modern design. To me it has many different layers and each layer might speak to any number of students. The symmetry and asymmetry of the design helps the eye to move around the page while the color scheme is bright and eye catching.

Three Words

My three words for 2013

Expression- This word represents my need for finding a medium to express my art. Art is Expression and in my pursuit of bettering my artistic skill I need to learn to express myself in differant ways. Expression also means letting go and showing my inner emotions and thoughts which can be very difficult for me.

Relations- This word is to represent all of the relationships in my life from friends to family to my relationship with myself. Working on relationships and creating new ones are an important part of human lives. I need to make a greater effort in keeping close to the people in my life and to the activities and things that create a creater relationship with myself.

Boundless- This word is the hardest of what I wish to achieve. Being controlling makes it hard to truely grow as an artist. This control is the cause of many "artistist blocks" and can make my art stiff. The need for loosening the reigns on my control would help in all aspects of my life and help bring my stress level down.
